Move beyond the Sensitivity Training of the last 4 decades. Move
into the global, international paradigms of the next millennium,
where advanced skills are needed in order to serve the human
community.
The three aspects of Diversity Training are: Organization
Assessment, Diversity Awareness, and Skill Building.
· Organization Assessment involves executive
coaching and training with the top management to examine the
inclusion/ exclusion structures and practices of the organization;
collaboration with Human Resources and/or Diversity Committees to
plan interventions and training.
· Diversity Awareness includes training that
addresses:
- Race, gender, world cultural practices and taboos
- Dynamics of interacting
- Inclusion / Exclusion behaviors
- Processing of past experiences of participants
- Behavioral change strategies.
· Skill building goes beyond sensitivity and
involves practical, experiential training modules to develop:
Understanding
Dialogue
Communication
Tolerance and patience
Shared vision
Love of fellow man
Goal of acceptance vs. agreement
Acceptable risk taking strategies
Willingness to create a new experience of each moment with
persons who have a different experience and history.
Collaborations, Inc. will manage the project and
include culturally diverse consultants based on the specific needs of
the organization.
